Where is the best place for recipes for beginning cooking skills (using the stove, cutting, etc.)?

I tried to look for recipes on the web and “how to cook” questions on Yahoo! answers, but they seem quite perplex. For some reason, I feel reluctant to cook and just need a nice simple start. So any suggestions?

   For people who really dont know anything about cooking you might even drop hint or two for people who really dont know anything about cooking you might also want to produce you understand the cookbook section they should look like youll find them.
